Belief in Manmade Global Warming Is Religious
UK Worker’s Suit for Religious Discrimination Settled in His Favor
By E. Calvin Beisner, Ph.D.
Tim Nicholson is about $150,000 richer today than he was yesterday, because the British court system recognizes belief in manmade global warming as religious.
Nicholson lost his job when he tried to obtain information about his employer’s greenhouse gas emissions, and the employer refused to divulge the information and eventually laid him off. He sued his employer, arguing that his belief in manmade global warming is religious and his firing therefore was a case of religious discrimination. The court agreed last year, and yesterday he and the company negotiated a settlement in which the company paid him approximately $150,000.
Now, since belief in manmade global warming is religious, doesn’t that make government’s funding promotion of such belief a violation of the Left’s precious separation of church and state?
